Thank you
for your interest in my practice of cosmetic and reconstructive plastic surgery in Bellevue, Washington. I feel so fortunate to be able to live and work in this wonderful city, and strive each day to bring high-quality plastic surgical care to the wonderful people in this community and beyond.

Overview

A few words about our practice: we provide individualized and patient-centered surgical care for our patients. As a patient in my clinic, you will receive a comprehensive and customized treatment plan for your particular aesthetic issue. In conjunction with my terrific staff members, we provide a cosmetic consultation and a surgical plan (or less invasive procedure) that is specifically designed for you. This treatment plan may include a combination of surgery, a minimally invasive treatment, and some follow up treatments with our  aestheticians.

I use a 'patient centered decision making' process in our clinic which gives you the opportunity to express what is most important about your cosmetic issue. Using this information, I discuss what surgical and less-invasive treatment options are available to you. We then discuss the risks and benefits of procedures that we offer and assess how comfortable you are with each option. In summary,  you and I design your treatment plan together.

The Clinic and Operating Rooms

The Naficy Plastic Surgery and Rejuventation Center is located in downtown Bellevue WA. We have a wonderful clinic space full of very experienced people who have been working with cosmetic surgery patients for years. Our plastic surgery nurse, Julie Parmer RN, sees patients with me in the clinic and assists me in the operating room. This way, our patients get complete continuity in their care.

All of my outpatient surgical procedures are done in the Naficy Plastic Surgery Center, which is in the same building as our clinic. It is a truly outstanding ambulatory surgery center that is Medicare certified and staffed with board-certified M.D. anesthesiologists. I am very fortunate to operate in this wonderful environment with such top-notch people. They take great care of my patients.

Our peri-operative RN staff is probably the most experienced group in the Pacific Northwest. Between them, they have decades of plastic surgery nursing experience. I think you'll agree that it is superb nursing care and experience that make the difference for patient safety and comfort.

The Consultation

Our consultation will take place at the at Naficy Plastic Surgery and Rejuventation Center. You'll meet our nurse Julie Parmer RN, who is a terrific surgical nurse that specializes in plastic surgery patient care.  I devote about a hour to meet with you. During the consultation, patients will be invited to review a series of before-and-after photo albums that pertain to the procedure you are interested in. If you are interested in scheduling surgery, we will meet again for a pre-operative appointment about two weeks prior to surgery.

In my practice, I make extensive use of photography, which we review together during the pre and post operative consultations. I find these photographs to be essential in discussing a patient's aesthetic concerns and goals. The photos also help us document any anatomic variation you might have before any procedure is performed. Of course, these photos are part of your confidential medical record. Incidentally, the photographs reproduced on this website in the 'Procedures' section are used with a patient's written permission.

For out of town patients that wish to travel to the Naficy Plastic Surgery Center, my staff can make arrangements for hotel accommodations, limousine services and a specialized post-operative nursing service to help you with your recovery while staying in Bellevue.

After you meet with our patient coordinator, you will have a complete price-quote in hand. This outlines all costs of the procedure, including all surgery fees, anesthesia and OR fees, supplies and any post-operative garments you might need. We'll also include cost estimates for any adjunctive procedures you might need, such as Botox and fillers, or visits with our aesthetician.

After surgery, all follow-up clinic visits with me and my staff are free of charge. Your safe recovery with an excellent cosmetic outcome is very important to me, so I prefer that there is no financial barrier for you to return and be seen in my clinic.

A Practice within a Culture of Safety

My practice is built around a culture of safety. 'Culture' is defined as a set of shared understandings between members of a group. Your safety during a cosmetic procedure is of supreme importance to me and our organization.

The members of my practice work together and do the things that we know contribute to safe patient outcomes for each patient we care for. This is of particular importance in the operating room environment. Board-certified M.D. anesthesiologists take care of my patients in the O.R. The Naficy Plastic Surgery Center is routinely inspected for safety by the Medicare organization which has the most stringent operating room certification process available. I adhere rigidly to the treatment recommendations of our governing societies in Plastic Surgery. My staff and I follow written intra-operative and post-operative care protocols for every procedure I perform.

Patient safety is part of the culture in my practice.

We thank you for considering us for your cosmetic surgical needs and look forward to serving you.
